What we use

OperantX uses a small number of first-party cookies and similar storage so the site can sign you in, remember display preferences, and keep end-to-end encryption working on this device. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell cookie data.

Sign-in cookie

A session cookie keeps you signed in after you enter your handle and password. It is required for Settings, Messages, posting, and other signed-in pages. Signing out, or ending a session from Settings, removes that cookie on this device or invalidates it on the server.

Display cookie

A cookie named ox_screen stores this window size so session details can show a screen resolution. It is not used to identify you across other websites.

Local device storage

Encrypted Messages and Notes keep keys and a decrypted cache in this browser, unlocked by your PIN. That data stays on the device. Clearing site data, or resetting the PIN, removes or invalidates it. Menu layout preferences may also be stored locally.

Legal bases

Strictly necessary cookies are used to provide the service you asked for. Where a jurisdiction requires consent for non-essential storage, we limit optional storage accordingly. You can delete cookies and site data in your browser. Blocking all cookies will prevent sign-in.
