Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms govern access to OperantX, operated by Bence Szigeti. By creating an account or using OperantX, you enter a contract with the operator. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence if that is higher. You must have legal capacity to contract. Registration may require a valid invite key when that setting is on. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit.

Your account

You are responsible for your handle, password, encryption PIN, devices, and every session signed in as you. Keep credentials private. You may review and end sessions from Settings. Notify the operator if you believe an account was taken over.

Content

You retain whatever rights you already have in content you post. You grant the operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, secure, and improve OperantX. You may delete posts you control, subject to copies that already exist in backups, caches, quotes, or other people's devices. Staff may hide, restrict, or remove content that breaks these Terms, another person's rights, or applicable law.

Messages and encryption

Direct messages on participating devices are end-to-end encrypted. OperantX stores ciphertext and delivery metadata. The operator cannot read healthy message bodies and cannot recover a forgotten chat PIN. Unsend and delete controls hide or remove server-side history as described in the product. They do not guarantee that a recipient has no local copy.

Acceptable use

Use OperantX only in ways that are lawful where you are. Do not harass, threaten, or impersonate others; do not upload malware; do not attack, scrape, or overload the service; do not evade a lock, mute, block, or ban; and do not use the service to exploit children or to traffic in illegal goods. Automated access needs prior written permission.

Safety and enforcement

Staff may lock accounts, reset passwords, inspect public content, and review audit records to keep the service safe and to comply with law. The operator may refuse an invite, close an account, or turn features off, including registration, posting, or sign-in. Where a mandatory consumer or platform law gives you extra rights, those rights apply.

Availability and liability

OperantX is provided as available. Features may change. There is no warranty of uninterrupted or error-free access, and no promise that posts, keys, or messages can be recovered. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages, or for events outside reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such limits are forbidden.

Law and disputes

These Terms are interpreted under generally recognized principles of contract and, where a choice is allowed, under the law of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory protections in your country of residence still apply. Disputes should first be raised with the operator. If a court or tribunal with jurisdiction over you or the operator hears a claim, that forum may be used. If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect.

Changes

The operator may update these Terms. The date below is the current version. Continued use after a change is posted is acceptance of the updated Terms, except where local law requires a different method of consent.
